A delicious treat of Sonata Apple Cider, Vanilla Soft Serve Ice Cream, Caramel, and Whipped Cream. We also have Sonata Apple Cider Slushies and artisanal juice, all non-alcoholic. Handcrafted baskets, local honey, Oregon-grown hazelnuts, dried fruit, and locally made granola! Gifts and fruit boxes available. U-pick starts in June with berries, and continues all summer with herbs, garden vegetables, peaches, and plums. We end the U-pick year with apples, August through October, and a pumpkin patch to enjoy in the fall. No charge to enjoy your visit to the farm. The Fruit Company is a cornerstone of the Hood River Valley’s orchard heritage, growing, hand-picking, and hand-packing premium fruit gifts for more than 80 years. Housed in a beautifully preserved 1930s fruit packing house, this destination features a unique gift shop offering orchard-fresh fruit and regional artisan favorites.

Guests are invited to go beyond the gift shop with The Fruit Company Tour, a guided experience that includes a museum tour within the historic packing house, a tractor-pulled tram ride through a working orchard, and an exclusive behind-the-scenes factory tour. Together, these elements bring the story of local fruit growing and generations of Hood River Valley agriculture to life. Visitors hear stories from the early days of Hood River farming, discover fruit varieties grown in the valley, and learn how farming methods and equipment have evolved over time. Hope Ranch Lavender is set in the heart of the gorgeous Hood River Valley. Rows of fragrant lavender with double mountain views of Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams, our lavender field is only a few minutes from downtown Hood River. The vibrant and sprawling fields of lavender and the sweet fragrance in the air are a delightful and tranquil experience. Our 12,000 lavender plants, the snow-capped mountains, and the panoramic landscape provide an exquisite setting. Hope Ranch Lavender is a favorite stop to shop for local handmade products, cut a bouquet of flowers, and take gorgeous photographs. All of our lavender products are grown, harvested, and distilled right here on our ranch by our family.  We invite you to wander the lavender fields and cut your own bundle of lavender to take home. Our family farm proudly brings you a taste of tradition. Fox Tail Cider & Distillery along with Smiley’s Red Barn harvest delicious fruits on our farms to deliver quality fresh produce and preserves. Then, we take it one step farther and create hard ciders and spirits for our guests. Enjoy learning about the orchards, the cider process, seeing generations of farm photos, and visiting with us. Come in to Fox Tail for a tasting, a glass, a bottle, a growler, or a sip of our hard ciders, spirits, and mixed drinks to excite your fruit-loving taste buds. Ready-pick blueberries and raspberries are available to order. Special orders can be picked up at odd hours, please call ahead. Pets will need to be kept on a leash and out of the berry field. The Old Trunk is the most recent Winner for “Best of the Gorge” Antique Store! We feature fun and affordable Vintage and Antique Finds, Vinyl, Clothing, and Re-purposed Art. Our “Family U-Pick” season of organically grown marionberries, raspberries, and blueberries starts in late June. Flower Gardens open in May, featuring 50+ unique cultivated varieties of Flowers. Pick a vase from our Antique Store or purchase a quart Ball jar and fill it up! Our Fruit Stand opens in June with locally grown Berries, and we source Organic whenever possible. We have a full Espresso Bar, and our Artisanal Soda Fountain serves house-made Sodas, Shakes, and other treats made to order. Our Soft Serve Ice Cream is made fresh using Tillamook Ice Cream and Local Fruit. We also have Dairy-Free options! We are a family-friendly stop; leashed dogs are welcome on our grounds. For over 35 years, we have been making small-batch jams, syrups, pie fillings, pepper jellies, pies, and more using the bounty of fruits available in the Hood River Valley. Fresh fruit pies are baked daily, and are also available frozen for U-Bake. Huckleberry milkshakes, Marionberry milkshakes, Mt. Hood Creamery ice cream, and freshly baked treats daily. McCurdy Farms is a three-generation family-owned and operated orchard producing famous Hood River Valley pears and heritage apples since 1969. With ample parking and easy Fruit Loop access, stop by our fruit stand to find some of the best fruit prices per pound for our apples and pears.

Relax on the lawn while enjoying views of Mt. Hood and the orchard, and if your timing is right, the wine crush. Enjoy a glass or a flight of our estate-grown and produced hard ciders, perry’s, and wine selections – all grown, crushed, and fermented on our property. Bottles of hard cider and wine are available to take home.

Several varieties of cider, Perry, and wine are available throughout the season (May 1st through October). Our fruit stand and u-pick apples are available in September and October. Family Friendly.
